Vocational Training & Apprenticeships

There are many vocational training opportunities that lead to careers that are highly-skilled and highly-paid. These training programs are sometimes paid and require limited-to-no college education. Preparation for these careers is often hands on and in the field in which you plan to enter.  This page outlines some local vocational training and apprenticeship programs specifically directed towards students interested in science. The high school counseling office, Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industry (OBLI) and local job center will have a more wide range of information for vocational/apprenticeship career opportunities outside of science.
